Plants instead of pills
MORE WELL-BEING THROUGH A PLANT-BASED DIET
The myths surrounding a plant-based diet are just as varied as the benefits of a well thought-out (!) meat-free diet, which have been proven in extensive studies. No diet is as polarizing as that of being vegan. Yet the studies on the top causes of death in Germany - cardiovascular disease, cancer and type 2 diabetes mellitus - are clear and, above all, overwhelming.
In my opinion, it is therefore much more appropriate to call it a plant-based diet - especially as purely vegan products are not always beneficial to health and my idea of healthy food tends to be green and above all colorful - just like nature, without any additives.
You can find some background information on my transition, supplementation, study results and what everyday vegan life looks like with its little pitfalls in my article, which I wrote for the lovely Meike from Happy Rebels as one of her rebels: A drumbeat for plant-based nutrition.
